1. What is the WANA Forum?
- A participatory forum that brings together key individuals from different backgrounds in the West Asia - North Africa (WANA) region to promote regional cooperation. By addressing shared human concerns in the social, economic and environmental fields, the Forum will develop proposals for policy change and present them to decision-makers in WANA.
2. Why was the WANA Forum started?
- As a response to the lack of effective multilateral approaches in dealing with urgent regional problems.
- To create a non-threatening forum for dialogue and cooperation to help the region realise its full potential.
3. How will the WANA Forum work?
- The high-level WANA Forum will identify joint challenges and mobilise a wide range of actors to move forward on tackling them.
- Expert Workshops will develop innovative approaches and concrete work plans to address regional concerns.
- Interim Consultations will facilitate networking opportunities with varied regional actors and existing projects to ensure broad participation, lack of duplication and continued engagement.
4. Who will participate in the WANA Forum?
- Citizens of the region, through the interactive website, public polls and future outreach events.

5. How is the WANA Forum different from other initiatives?
- It is an ongoing process rather than a single annual event
